If exercise was good for me, why does it make me tired??

To Exercise Or Not? What's The Question?

The Diet and Exercise is a multi-billion dollar business in these United states, but you could not really tell from the alarming amount of obese people wobbling along our streets every day.

"Recent reports show that Two-thirds of American adults are either overweight or obese, according to government health figures. Being overweight is more than cosmetic: Carrying around extra pounds has been linked to health problems such as some cancers, heart disease and diabetes. But through diet and exercise, even a little weight loss is beneficial to health."

So It's 2010 - What Are You Gonna Do?

Most exercise and diet regiments fail because they demand too much of us to keep them going. We need to take a more natural approach to the problem.

Simply put: Eat less and spend more time on your feet.

What can you do on your feet?

Doing more housework is a good place to start. Plus there are lots of stress reducing and stamina building exercises you can do in and around the house - like gardening, mowing the awn or shoveling snow.

Next, find a hobby or leisure activity that takes you out of the house and off the couch. Going for a long walk a few times a week will do a body good.

Try dancing, bowling or golf to get that blood flowing again.

If you are retired, get rid of the old car and get an apartment on the third floor.

If you are not already into active sports, this may be a good time to start. Physical fitness will help you build a stronger heart and bone health. It will surely help to control your body weight by burning off some of that fat.

As your strength and stamina increases you may want to try some more intensive sport activities like running, swimming, tennis, baseball or soccer.

Team sports is not only good for your body - it's also good for you mind, too. It will reduce your stress level and improve your whole outlook on life.

You don't have to be a part of the gym crowd or spend an arm and a leg on exercise equipment in order to stay in shape. Just simply jumping around each day or climbing a few flight of stairs may be enough to increase your circulation, keep your heart pumping and your concentration sharp.

Hi Max! great suggestions on increasing your activity and loosing a bit a weight! like your humor. Has the doc said you can go back to running up those 3 flights of stairs or only letting you walk them?

Good examples and way to tie together the links, etc., on exercise examples for increased fitness and weight loss. Keep it coming your doing great. I'm now a fan.
